Cynthia Collins Dressage Freestyle Designer
Freestyle designer, Cynthia Collins of Luna Tunes Freestyles, on Larisa DASC Intermediate Freestyle Champion. Designing a musical freestyle for dressage can be a very time consuming and frustrating experience; investing hours of listening to and buying music, purchasing equipment, and learning the computer technology necessary. Finally, it can take years to learn how to design and edit the music in a way that is creative while complying with the USEF rules and USDF/FEI requirements. With 15 years of experience, I produce professional freestyles. I can select music that suits your horse, or use your selection's, and match the music's tempo to your horse's gaits. I can design your custom freestyle at the level of your performance as well as create interesting and judge pleasing choreography. On my retired Grand Prix dressage horse, Tierra's Luna and current horse FEI mare, Larisa, I have designed, choreographed, and ridden championship freestyles at every level for myself. I also have a decade of experience design freestyles professional for all levels of riders. I had many years of instrumental music experience and dance training. But my real training for freestyles has been gained in the competition arena, in front of audiences and judges. As a rider, I have earned my
I was the 1995 USDF Second Level National Freestyle Champion on Tierra's Luna with a median score of 74%. This was the highest national median for all levels that year. In 2005, I was USDF Fourth Level National Reserve Champion on Larisa with a 73%. I was USDF National Amateur Champion four times. These include the 1996 Fourth Level, 1999 Intermediate I, 2000 and 2002 Intermediate II, and 2005 Fourth Level Reserve Champion. I have won numerous CDS, DASC, and USDF Regional and National and All Breeds titles in regular and freestyle classes. I have been on the USET Developing Rider List for many years after competing for a spot on the Pan American Games Team. I am a USEF Dressage Technical Delegate. This role has given me further insight as I can converse with judge's on current trends in the competition arena. I hold at Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies and a California Teaching Credential. I was an Elementary School teacher in the Public School system for 16 years. I taught the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth grades during this time. Because of my extensive teaching experience, I am able to express ideas to riders in an easy and understanding way during freestyle sessions. I am happily
married to my best friend Terry for 25 years.
